Yoga, Thai Massage and Connection

with Anjuli Mahendra, LMT and Alok Rocheleau

In Santa Margarita, San Luis Obispo County, Central Coast California

September 20 - 23

Join us for a rejuvenating retreat at the beautiful Sagrada Wellness Center where we will cultivate effortless, heart-opening practices. We will work with a variety of movement and mindfulness practices to create more joy, flexibility, and heightened awareness in the way we connect with each other.

This retreat is perfect for anyone that would like to develop more sensitivity, play, and mutual support in their life. Enjoy being guided through nourishing practices that are great for any level. No prior experience is necessary. You will learn creative ways to stretch, how to give and receive therapeutic touch, and explore improvised movement through Contact Dance. You can expect to come away with useful skills that will enhance your connection with yourself, partner, and community.

Anjuli and Alok have been developing their work together since 2010 to bring deliciously deep and creative somatic practices to open the body, heart, and spirit. This amazing retreat will include delicious farm-to-table meals and hiking on the Sagrada’s 45-acre mountain sanctuary. Sagrada Wellness is the perfect place to relax and find more peace and freedom in your relationship to life.

We’ll take each morning to explore the land and practice Contact Yoga in nature. Our afternoon practice will focus on creative and effortless ways to connect, stretch, and share rejuvenating massage with your partner and the group. Throughout our time together, we will include reflective dyads and council to harvest our experience.

You’ll have plenty of unstructured time to explore the surrounding 45- acre mountain sanctuary, journal, book a massage, or relax by the pool.

Sounds like the perfect getaway? Join us for a deeply nourishing experience to revitalize your relationship at one of the most beautiful wellness centers in California surrounded by nature.

Don't delay -- there are limited spots and the retreat will likely sell out.

About Anjuli Mahendra, LMT

Anjuli Mahendra is a multi-modality healer, teacher, and founder of Shakticura Healing Lounge. Her Berkeley-based private practice, Embodied Resonance includes integrated bodywork, coaching, and workshops that focus on opening the body to it’s highest potential. Her connection to holistic movement and healing started in 1999 through a regular Iyengar yoga practice that developed into yoga teaching in 2004. That year, her adventurous nature took her to Asia where she fell in love with the Asian healing arts of Shiatsu and Thai massage, training in both and adding them to her repertoire. In 2007, she did an extensive 700-hr training in Structrual Integration at the Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork and has added on further bodywork trainings in Thai massage and Chi Nei Tsang. Anjuli’s teaching style is a unique synthesis of dance, movement, and healing practices. She has developed her own twist on Contact Yoga, drawing on her somatic experiences with contact improvisation, acro-yoga, and bodywork. In addition to Contact Yoga, she teaches Thai massage, hatha yoga, and dance
