Please take a moment to read the following information. It should answer most of your questions about your trip to Sagrada Wellness.
Transportation
The closest airports to Sagrada Wellness and San Miguel de Allende are Leon (BJX) 1.5 hours and Mexico City (MEX) 3.5 hours. We can arrange for a driver to pick you up from Leon (BJX). The rate is $85 each way and is payable in cash to the driver. Taxi service to and from town is available and can be arranged for minimal fees.
How to get to Sagrada Wellness from San Miguel de Allende:
- Take road towards Dolores Hidalgo.
- Pass Candelaria and Girasol.
- Turn right at Sagrada sign and Rancho del Sol Dorado sign.
- Drive towards mountain (4km).
- Veer left at soccer field.
- Turn right at Calle La Cajita (in Rancho Marroquin – tiny village).
- Continue through Rancho Marroquin.
- Veer left down an arroyo.
- Continue 1km alongside mountain.
- Sagrada Wellness is on the right hand side with two stone posts and Sagrada logo.
For Your Comfort
Our water comes from a spring fed aquifer 50 meters deep. The water from our well is known to be 10,000 years old and is rich in healing minerals. It is clean and safe for bathing and teeth brushing and for your comfort we provide purified water in your room for drinking. As we are in the high desert, water is extremely precious and we ask you to limit its use.
Laundry at Sagrada is done twice a week. Personal laundry can be arranged - $15 per load. Laundry at Sagrada is sun dried.
Comida
Breakfast is served at 9 am in Adobe la Mesita (retreat center). It consists of a colorful arrangement of fruits, Mexican sweet breads, granolas, and yogurts with organic coffee and juices. A full lunch and dinner are served in Adobe la Mesita. Sagrada’s cuisine is light and delicious with an emphasis on fresh produce, herbs (from our organic garden), poultry and fish. Each meal includes healthy vegetarian options. Meals are prepared using local ingredients to create a unique blend of Mexican and world recipes. Throughout the day, teas, organic Mexican coffee and fruit waters are available. Alcoholic beverages are available for additional fees.

For Your Safety
Sagrada Wellness is natural-country-ranch-environment. We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes or hiking boots, as it is uneven terrain. Scorpions do inhabit Sagrada’s high desert land. They have a strong sting but are not dangerous. In the cabanas, all gas heaters, fireplaces and chimeneas must be turned off before going to sleep.
Communication and Internet
There are no phones in the rooms however we have a communal Vonage phone for guests to use for U.S. and Canada calls. Our numbers where you could be reached in case of an emergency are (from U.S.): office 323.924.5950 cell 01152.1.415.100.8455 Adobe la Mesita has wireless internet access, where you are welcome to use your own laptop.
What to Bring
- Flashlight with extra batteries
- Insect repellent
- Sunglasses and plenty of sunscreen (we are at the high elevation of 6,300 ft. and the Mexican sun is strong)
- Warm clothes for layering (sweater, jacket, scarf, and hat) as we are at a high altitude and mornings and nights can get chilly
- Sturdy walking or hiking shoes
- We do have a basic first aid kit, but if you have special concerns you may want to bring your own
- Yoga clothing
- For Fun – binoculars, journal, a good book and iPod
Check in and Check out
Check in is at 2pm the day your stay starts. Check out is noon on the last day of your stay.
