Your Stay in Ojai, California

Please take a moment to read the following information. It should answer most of your questions about your yoga and Pilates retreat in Ojai California with Sagrada Wellness.

Getting Here
Driving directions from the North or South:

From Highway 101 take Highway 33 inland. Highway 33 merges with Hwy 150. Continue on Hwy 150 through downtown Ojai to the Upper Ojai Valley. The Foundation is about 6 miles from the center of Ojai, after the Besant Hill School, and on the left. Turn at the Foundation sign, left at the stop sign, and make a quick right into our driveway and up to the Guest Parking.
Or from LA take Interstate 5 north to Highway 126. Take Hwy 126 West to Santa Paula. Take Hwy 150 towards Ojai. The Foundation is 11 miles from Santa Paula. Look for a sign on the RIGHT [opposite a white picket fence].

Airports and Transportation

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the major airport in the area and is 1 1/2 to 2 hours from Ojai. The following are options for transport from LAX. Note: Burbank and Santa Barbara also have airports near Ojai.

Airporter Shuttle: 805.650.6600 Departs from LAX bus stop signs every 2 hrs. Drop-off point at Sheraton Hotel in Ventura Harbor.

Weather
Be prepared for variable weather. It can be cold in the evenings. We suggest you bring a sweater, jacket or small blanket for the evening. For programs scheduled between November and April, bring rain boots and a rain jacket. Many times the earth itself and the weather are as much our teachers as the faculty!

What To Bring

  • All of your own bedding – sleeping bag or sheets and blankets, and a pillow.  We have some bedding and pillows available for a fee, if needed.
  • Towels and personal toiletries
  • Yoga mat (we supply mat Pilates props)
  • A flashlight with extra batteries [We have solar power and lighting is limited after dark]. Do not bring candles or lanterns. There is no provision for plugging in hair dryers, radios, computers or cell phone chargers.
  • A water bottle
  • Comfortable, sturdy foot gear and comfortable clothing
  • Sunscreen and insect repellant [natural ingredients] during summer months

Food
Breakfast is served at 9 am. It consists of a colorful arrangement of fruits, granolas, and yogurts with organic coffee and juice. A full lunch and dinner are served family style. Sagrada’s cuisine is light and delicious with an emphasis on fresh produce and herbs. Each meal is healthy and vegetarian. Meals are prepared using local ingredients to create a unique blend of world recipes. Alcoholic beverages are available for additional fees.
