San Miguel de Allende, Mexico is one of the great destination cities of the Americas. Straddled between the Sierra Madre Occidental in the west and the Sierra Madre Oriental in the east, San Miguel de Allende sits at an altitude of 6,300 feet and is 160 miles north of Mexico City. San Miguel enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine a year.
Founded in 1542, San Miguel de Allende became an important supply center for the mines and a stopover from the other big mining cities. Sagrada Wellness is located along the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, the Royal Inland Highway, one of the most important routes of colonial America, linking Mexico City with Santa Fe, New Mexico. At Sagrada’s entrance is the last ancient well before entering San Miguel. It was constructed by the Spanish over four centuries ago.
